Firefighter Training

Jordan Medve is the Director of Training and Education with the NSFFC. As a certified Instructor and a firefighter for over 17years, he has a passion for growth and development for all firefighters. With his lead, we continue to streamline our events and create new paths and goals for our future.

Firefighter Challenges

Each Challenge brings forth different skills and scenarios that can be seen in our lives as first responders.

From interior obstacles like wall breaches, unstable floors and debris fields.

To Search and Rescue scenarios with mock apartments, injured patients, maydays and more.

Every obstacle needs different aspects of our training and helps us utilize the skills we have.

2025 North Shore Firefighter

This year’s training weekend was marked by a series of high-caliber educational sessions and professional development opportunities. We were privileged to welcome Graeme Cross from Bullard, who delivered an in-depth presentation on Thermal Imaging Cameras, and Adam McFadden from FireHouse Training, who provided a comprehensive session on Lithium-Ion Battery safety and management. Additionally, our own Ryan and Bill facilitated an introductory course on Automotive Awareness.

Under the leadership of our Head of Education, Jordan Medve, participants were expertly guided through the MLFTU program, with all training components carefully coordinated and overseen by his guidance.
The weekend proved to be an outstanding opportunity for learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
